Get clarity on our services and how we can help you.

What types of therapy do you provide?

I offer couples therapy, family therapy, ADHD assessments, adoption assessments, and therapeutic assessments to meet your needs.

Do you have qualifications for couple therapy?

Yes, I am a licensed clinical psychologist that specializes in couple therapy.  I have written books, supervised clinicians, consulted, and provide certification and professional training to colleagues on couple therapy.

Where is your practice located?

My office is located at 1000 Regent University Dr, Crb154, Virginia Beach, VA 23464 or on telehealth online.

How can I contact you?

You can reach me at 757-352-4296 or via email at doctorripley@doctorripley.com. Call to schedule!

Do you take insurance?

I am an out of network provider, meaning that you can use your insurance's out-of-network mental health policy for reimbursement from your insurance, in keeping with the guidelines of your insurance policy.  I will provide a superbill to clients to assist in the process.

Do you provide telehealth and  electronic health Records?

Yes, I can provide secure telehealth for meetings as long as it meets the goals of our treatment.  I have qualified with PsyPact to provide telehealth services in most states. I use the EHR "Sessions Health" for secure communication, scheduling, records and billing.

Do you have a low cost option?

Yes, I have a doctoral student under my supervision who provides  psychotherapy and assessment at a lower cost.  Contact my office to ask about openings.

How long is couple therapy?

I like to focus on three month blocks of time in couple therapy.  So the first three months are often good to meet goals for the couple in a short-term model with 10-12 sessions.  For more complex problems, we can agree to another three months, if we all agree it's warranted.
